Current Activities
I currently work as a freelance lecturer / trainer and researcher in the field of therapist and common
factors, supportive collaboration, systematic client feedback and solution-focused therapy. Some of
the lectures and training courses are part of the postmaster program to become a remedial
educationalist generalist, clinical psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist.
I also work as a senior researcher at the University of Groningen and as a clinical psychologist and
psychotherapist at the Dimence Group in Zwolle at the specialist center for developmental disorders,
and run my own supervision practice.
Research projects
a) The effect of coaching on PCOMS / FIT in youth mental healthcare
b) Translating and validating the EPO-1 ( https://www.psychotherapyresearch.org/page/epo1 ) for
Dutch MHC.
c) A Delphi study Monitoring and Feedback Systems in Psychotherapy - an Expert Consensus on
Guidelines and Recommendations (/ Current challenges and future directions)
d) Understanding the lifeworld of people who are dying from autism, with the aim of helping to
reduce feelings of helplessness and strengthening autonomy among people with autism, their loved
ones, and the healthcare professionals involved.
e) An exploratory qualitative study of factors that influence the course and treatment of OCD in
people with autism, with the aim of optimizing care for this group.
f) A feasibility study into a recovery-oriented group program for people with autism in the SMI
population
